This series consists of objects related to Mission Santa Clara. Founded in 1777 by the Franciscan order, Mission Santa Clara was the 8th mission established in California. It is named after St. Clare of Assisi, who was a follower of St. Francis of Assisi and the founder of the order of the Poor Clares.
