This series documents the heritage of the university through artifacts and ephemera related to the daily administration of the university, significant events in university history and various aspects of student life. The series includes items that were made to commemorate significant events in university history such as the 150th anniversary celebrated in 2001 and the reroute of the Alameda in 1986. Materials related to annual events sponsored by the university, such as Vintage Santa Clara, can also be found in this series.

Materials that document student life include items such as dance cards, class rings, souvenir buttons and pins. The bulk of materials in this series are branded with the Santa Clara University logo or the university seal. These materials were often produced by the university for promotional purposes. These items include paperweights, key chains, belt buckles, buttons, stickers, yo-yos, and license plate frames.
