Hauck's seven years as president Santa Clara was forced to withdraw from intercollegiate football, the University was accredited by the Western College Association, efforts were begun to reestablish graduate studies, the University became affiliated with Alma College, tuition was increased, and property was purchased that included the Eberhard Tanning Company....
