Scope and Content

This series documents the materials Desmond collected that pertained to Fr. Hubbard's life. The bulk of the collection consists of various materials such as articles and photographs about Hubbard and the Lang family, a family from Oberammergau, Germany who considered Hubbard a family friend, and the Lang family's letters to Hubbard during the 1920s. Two oversized boxes contain large prints of photographs taken by Hubbard during his trips to Alaska, Germany and Austria. The photographs were taken between 1923 and 1930, and printed in 1957 at Santa Clara University's Ricard Observatory. The prints are are mounted on particle board.
