Scope and Content
This series documents Father Hubbard’s belongings and collected items throughout his time as a priest and an explorer. The bulk of the collection consists of artifacts discovered in Alaska and religious materials used for his daily mass, along with a collection of printing blocks. The series also contains medals from his Medal of the Month program, objects used when exploring such as boots, a nautical flag, and research equipment. Please note that additional artifacts such as a bow, Fr. Hubbard’s cassock, a nautical flag, and various artifacts from King Island can be found in Series VIII: Oversize Materials.
