Scope and Content
This series documents both Jiménez’s career at Santa Clara University and his academic life outside of the classroom from the 1970s to the 2000s. The series features biographical information about Jiménez’s history, including resumes, self-evaluations, publications, and documents from events and conferences that he led and attended, such as the Institute on Poverty and Conscience. Also included are various biographies written about his life, as well as letters to and from Jiménez during his time at Columbia University and early years at Santa Clara University. This section also highlights his years of service on a variety of academic boards and committees, including the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and Licensing, WASC, and the California Council for the Humanities.
