Scope and Contents Richard Cullen White was a playwright active in San Francisco towards the end of the nineteenth century. In 1966 his grandson, Robert Lilly, an alumnus of Santa Clara University, donated his papers to the university library. This collection consists of 5 document boxes containing manuscripts of White's works, photographs, newspaper clippings, and a number of nineteenth-century printed playscripts, some by other authors.
